Well they did manage to beat VCU (which barely missed the tournament) and Mississippi State on the road.

they beat VCU out of the country......not just on the road

that first loss was by 6 to another tourney team.......winthrop by 6

mc clinton lit it up for 30 but they shot like [censored] in the 2nd half or thay would have won that game also

They were also 4-8 in their last 12 games before the tourney. Doesn't matter how tough the schedule is if you don't win does it?

In VT's case, it doesn't matter how easy the schedule is if you don't beat anybody to speak of. Catch 22.
